Dr Yong is a multi-disciplinary implant dentist with nearly 20 years of experience in full mouth rehabilitation, spanning prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics and oral surgery. He has placed over 5,000 dental implants, with expertise in advanced bone grafting, sinus grafts and All-On-4 implants for patients with severe bone loss.

In 2013, he pioneered one of Malaysia’s first full-scale digital dental labs, enabling precise, natural-looking veneers, crowns and implant prostheses — sometimes delivered within the same day. He founded the SmileBay Group in 1999 and now focuses on implant clinical practice and mentoring SmileBay’s dentists.

Known for his empathy and patient-first approach, Dr Yong believes health and function come before cosmetics, and finds his greatest reward in seeing patients eat well and live life fully.
